Andrew is a highly experienced professional with a distinguished background in regulatory enforcement and complex litigation. Prior to joining Maher Law, Andrew held a key role at the Isle of Man Financial Services Authority (the FSA), where he led investigations, specialised in insolvency matters and was responsible for managing and modernising the director disqualification regime. He actively contributed to the island's regulatory landscape, participating in the National Risk Assessment, MoneyVal preparations and the Insolvency Act working group.
Andrew's thought leadership extends to financial services education; he lectures Manx Bar students on regulation, has developed and delivered training to staff at the FSA and regularly speaks at the Cambridge International Symposium on Economic Crime, which brings together experts, including government officials, law enforcement, judges, academics and private sector professionals, from more than 100 countries.
Andrew has extensive experience in regulatory and commercial disputes.
Andrew is a qualified Trust and Estate Practitioner (TEP),Certified GDPR Practitioner and Certified Anti-Money Laundering Specialist(CAMS). This unique combination of regulatory insight, litigation skill, and specialist certification makes Andrew a comprehensive and strategic advocate for clients with complex needs.
